Here’s another photo by Sandra Coppertop which features a photo collection from Jim Goldberg portraying the affluent and impoverished, seemingly isolated and alienated, and in their own homes. These photos are accompanied by comments like the one shown on the cover as written by the subjects themselves. Wikipedia describes Jim Goldberg as having studied Theology, and “ending up in photography when a schizophrenic Photo 1 teacher told him he had talent.” That’s not a bad deal.

This collection of photographs by Pierre Molinier came through the office, and with it an air of surrealistic eroticism for which he was known. Of the various shocking stories associated with his life and art, he turned the camera on himself in drag for much of his career. It is not surprising then that he struck up a friendship with the father of surrealism, André Breton, leading to an exhibition in Paris during the late 50’s. He remains an inspiration for those who do not blush easily.
